La participación política ciudadana en la era digital: análisis socio-técnico sobre las tecnologías digitales y la gestión de derechos ciudadanos

Abstract

En el artículo se analizan y discuten las formas de participación política ciudadana en la era digital. Específicamente, se exploran las relaciones entre las tecnologías digitales y la gestión de derechos ciudadanos. El artículo es aún exploratorio y busca responder preguntas como: ¿se relacionan los gobiernos abiertos con las tradiciones y tendencias abiertas / libres y participativas de Internet?, ¿qué significa participar políticamente en la era digital?, ¿cómo se produce la participación política ciudadana? La investigación busca fortalecer las democracias en América Latina.

In this article we analyze and discuss the forms of citizen political participation in the digital age. Specifically, it explores the relationship between digital technologies and management of citizen's rights. This article is still exploratory and seeks to answer questions like: is there a relationship between open governments and Internet's open / free and participatory traditions? What does mean political participation in digital age? How is happening the citizen political participation? The research aims to strengthen democracies in Latin America.
