Medio Oriente: oportunidades perdidas

Abstract

El Embajador de Israel revisa las causas históricas y políticas que resultaron en el fracaso del proceso de paz iniciado entre israelíes y palestinos, destacando ciertas premisas y momentos que han resultado claves en la difícil relación entre ambos pueblos. El mensaje final del artículo es, no obstante la situación actual, esperanzador en cuanto a la posibilidad de lograr que la paz se imponga en Oriente Medio.

The Israeli Ambassador reviews the main historical and political causes which led to the failure of the peace process initiated by Israeli and Palestine governments. He does so by outlining certain premises and key moments in the difficult relations between these two peoples. The conclusion of the article is that, however difficult the present situation may be, there is still hope for achieving peace in the area.
