This species is endemic to Argentina (provinces of Catamarca, Chubut, Córdoba, La Pampa, La Rioja, Mendoza, Neuquén, Río Negro, Salta, San Juan, San Luis and Tucumán) mainly in the Monte phytogeographic region (Leynaud and Bucher 1999.
