This work is part of a broader research on the evaluation of thermal-energy performance of different types of hospital buildings in temperate climate.
A study on the winter thermal behavior of two hospitalization rooms of the Zonal General Decentralized Hospital "Mariano and Luciano de la Vega" is presented. This hospital is part of a representative sample of public hospitals located in the Province of Buenos Aires, determined from the typological classification of a population of 79 hospitals.
The results showed oscillations in the interior temperature in correspondence with the external climatic variations, reaching values above the comfort range on the warmest days; while on colder days the indoor temperature dropped, but remained above the lower limit of thermal comfort. On the other hand, the typological classification revealed that the Pavilion type has been the most recurrent in this area.
