Philological criticism has commonly considered that Euripides?s choral odes have a lax connection, or not even a connection within the other parts of the drama, despite the fact that the tradicional interpretation of the controversial passage in Aristoteles Poetics 1456a, on which was based this consideration, has been modified. Recent studies have demostrated that their rapport with the action is closer and it is necessary to understand the whole play. In this regard, we aim to give some reflections about the way the chorus behaves regarding other characters in some euripidean tragedies.
