Acompañando a los adultos en la salud de su boca

Abstract

Capacitamos a los adultos mayores sobre la conservación y mantenimiento de la salud bucal como también preservar su salud integral mediante los talleres y charlas explicativas que llevamos a cabo en los distintos centros, entregando información y distintos insumos para contribuir con su higiene bucal. Capacitamos también a los líderes comunitarios en estos temas de cuidados bucales para que sean agentes multiplicadores de salud, y de esta manera generar más concientización en la población. El objetivo general es concientizar a los adultos mayores sobre el cuidado de su salud bucal elevando el nivel de salud integral.

We train older adults on the conservation and maintenance of oral health as well as preserving their integral health through workshops and explanatory talks that we carry out in the different centers, providing information and different supplies to contribute to their oral hygiene. We also train community leaders in these oral care issues so that they can be multiplier agents of health, and through this, to generate more awareness in the population. The general objective is to raise knowledge among older adults about their oral health care, raising the level of comprehensive health.
