Anacronismos en el museo: notas sobre una curaduría en el Museo Emilio Pettorutti

Abstract

En esta reseña se abordan dos obras que integraron la muestra Anacronismos realizada en el Museo Provincial de Bellas Artes «Emilio Pettorutti» entre abril y mayo de 2016. La propuesta buscaba poner en diálogo obras realizadas en un mismo momento histórico, pero con operaciones estéticas radicalmente diferentes con el fin de tensionar su propia historicidad. Las obras elegidas dan cuenta de las disputas representativas que se dieron entre el realismo y la abstracción en nuestro país durante la primera mitad del pasado siglo.

Two artworks exposed at the Anacronismos exhibition held at the Provincial Museum of Fine Arts Emilio Pettorutti between April and May, 2016 are addessed in the present review. That exhibition intended to put into dialogue works carried out at the same historical moment but with dissimilar aesthetic operations and with the aim of challenging its own histocity. The chosen works account for the representative disputes held between realism and abstraction in Argentina during the first half of the last century.
