Modalidades del vínculo amoroso en personas mayores: permanencias, transformaciones y novedades de su configuración

Abstract

El presente trabajo tiene como propósito presentar la investigación recientemente aprobada sobre las implicancias del vínculo amoroso y sus modalidades en personas mayores de La Plata y Gran La Plata. Se busca investigar mediante el análisis e interpretación de datos recopilados en entrevistas en profundidad, observaciones grupales y análisis de relatos, acerca de los efectos del vínculo amoroso en la construcción de la identidad envejecente y los impactos en la formulación del proyecto futuro posible. A partir de los hallazgos de una investigación anterior que se presenta como antecedente, se propone conocer las permanencias, transformaciones y novedades que adquiere el vínculo de amor. El objetivo general es indagar las representaciones que los sujetos tienen de los vínculos amorosos, de la sexualidad, el erotismo y las múltiples modalidades que adquiere el amor en la vejez. Asimismo, busca identificar los prejuicios y mitos que portan los mayores en el encuentro con otro y en qué medida éstos intervienen en los intercambios que se producen. Además, pretende acceder al conocimiento que tienen de la imagen del cuerpo, los efectos de la edad, las implicancias del tiempo y la temporalidad en la configuración de la identidad, anudados a la conciencia de finitud en el armado y construcción de una pareja. Otros abordajes relacionados con la temática, coinciden en señalar la consolidación del vínculo de pareja en la vejez. La mayoría de las informaciones relevadas señalan que este vínculo aporta sostén emocional, compromiso y responsabilidad con el otro, siendo la pareja uno de los que genera mayor satisfacción en la vejez, cuando la relación genera un encuentro de dos, cada uno sosteniendo su proyecto y teniendo otro compartido. Coinciden que la sexualidad cambia y que el goce y el disfrute se presentan en nuevas modalidades de encuentro; favoreciendo sentimientos de apoyo, incondicionalidad, comunicación y placer de compartir, reflejado en mejor salud física y mental. Como nociones teóricas que encuadran la investigación destacamos desarrollos conceptuales de I. Berenstein, P. Aulagnier, R. Iacub, E. Rozitchner, J. Benjamin, R. J. Sternberg, entre otros distinguidos expertos en la temática detallados en el presente trabajo. Dicha investigación busca interpretar las relaciones que se establecen entre el proceso de envejecimiento y sus vicisitudes, y la construcción de un futuro sostenido en las relaciones de amor, sean parejas estables o no, pero que constituyan un deseo de encuentro con otro en el establecimiento del amor, el compañerismo y la sexualidad.

The purpose of this work is to present the recently approved research on the implications of the love bond and its modalities in older people from La Plata and Gran La Plata. The aim is to investigate, through the analysis and interpretation of data collected in in-depth interviews, group observations and analysis of stories, about the effects of the loving bond on the construction of the aging identity and the impacts on the formulation of the possible future project. Based on the findings of a previous investigation that is presented as background, it is proposed to know the permanences, transformations and novelties that the bond of love acquires. The general objective is to investigate the representations that subjects have of love bonds, sexuality, eroticism and the multiple modalities that love acquires in old age. Likewise, it seeks to identify the prejudices and myths that older people carry when encountering others and to what extent these intervene in the exchanges that occur. Furthermore, it aims to access the knowledge they have about body image, the effects of age, the implications of time and temporality in the configuration of identity, tied to the awareness of finitude in the assembly and construction of a couple. Other approaches related to the topic coincide in pointing out the consolidation of the couple’s bond in old age. Most of the information collected indicates that this bond provides emotional support, commitment and responsibility to the other, with the couple being one of those that generates the greatest satisfaction in old age, when the relationship generates a meeting of two, each supporting their project and having another shared one. They agree that sexuality changes and that joy and enjoyment are presented in new modalities of encounter; promoting feelings of support, unconditionality, communication and pleasure in sharing, reflected in better physical and mental health. As theoretical notions that frame the research, we highlight conceptual developments by I. Berenstein, P. Aulagnier, R. Iacub, E. Rozitchner, J. Benjamin, R. J. Sternberg, among other distinguished experts on the subject detailed in this work. This research seeks to interpret the relationships established between the aging process and its vicissitudes, and the construction of a sustained future in love relationships, whether they are stable couples or not, but which constitute a desire to meet with another in the establishment of the love, companionship and sexuality.
