Acerca de la historia, teoría y crítica

Abstract

El proyecto de actividad académica para la cátedra de Historia de la Arquitectura II B de la Facultad de Arquitectura, Urbanismo y Diseño de la Universidad Nacional de Córdoba, se basa en la idea que tanto historia, como teoría y crítica son “modos de reflexionar sobre la arquitectura”, en permanente interrelación. A su vez, la teoría debe nutrir la praxis arquitectónica, puesto que no hay práctica en la arquitectura sin teoría –sea ésta explícita o no- y no hay teoría arquitectónica sin una realidad, que es histórica, entendida a través de una postura crítica. El enfoque planteado se aplica al estudio de la arquitectura y la ciudad proponiendo una estrategia que contribuya al logro del conocimiento como proceso, recorriendo los pasos que realiza todo investigador, aproximándose a esta práctica con un método de trabajo basado en la idea de investigación.

The academic activity project for the subject, History of Architecture II B of the Faculty of Architecture, Planning and Design of the National University of Córdoba, is based on the idea that history, theory and criticism are "ways of thinking about architecture", in permanent interaction. In turn, the theory must nourish the architectural praxis, since there is no practice in architecture without theory -being it explicit or not- and no architectural theory but a reality that is historical, understood through a critical stance. The projected approach is applied to the study of the architecture and the city proposing a strategy that contributes to the attainment of knowledge as a process, going through the steps that every researcher takes, approaching the practice with a working method based on the idea of research.
