Papel da mulher em propriedade familiar com barragem subterrânea em Serrolândia, Bahia

Abstract

É de responsabilidade da mulher o abastecimento da água da casa, para todas as atividades domésticas. As tarefas desempenhadas pelas mulheres sejam no campo, em casa ou fora dela, é considerado invisível. Porém quando chegam as tecnologias que permitem acessar a água para a produção de alimentos, como a barragem subterrânea, a mulher se liberta do caminho feito para buscar a água, geralmente a muitos quilômetros de distância, e começam a participar de outras dinâmicas, dentro e fora da propriedade. O objetivo deste artigo é analisar o papel da mulher na produção familiar e sua relação com a água em uma propriedade familiar que possui barragem subterrânea, em Serrolândia, Bahia. A presente discussão se deu a partir da análise de algumas ferramentas do Diagnóstico Rural Participativo (DRP), como o mapa da propriedade, que foi produzido pela família, e o calendário agrícola, de gênero, de chuvas e de atividades da propriedade.

The woman is responsible for supplying the home water for all household activities. The tasks performed by women are in the field, at home or outside, it is considered invisible. But when they arrive technologies that allow access to water for food production, as the underground dam, the woman is freed from the way done to fetch water, often many kilometers away, and begin to participate in other dynamics within and outside the property. The purpose of this article is to analyze the role of women in household production and hers relationship with water in a family property that has underground dam in Serrolândia, Bahia. This discussion took place through the analysis of some tools of Participatory Rural Diagnosis (PRD) as the map of the property, which was produced by the family, and the agricultural calendar, gender, rains and property activities.
