As mulheres de São João dos Mellos: entre saberes e sabores

Abstract

O presente trabalho tras o aporte realizado por mulheres, agricultoras familiares, que em suas hortas e roçados, partindo de principios embasados na Agroecologia constroem a segurança e soberanía alimentar de sua comunidade. As mulheres pesquisadas residem na Comunidade de São João dos Melos e através de uma metodología descritiva foram levantados os principais cultivos vegetais bem como a origem das sementes e mudas cultivadas. Apartir deste levantamento se pode obter as especies cultivadas e a origen principal destas sementes e mudas.

This work behind the contribution made by women, family farmers, who in their vegetables gardens and clearings, starting from principles grounded in Agroecology build food security and sovereignty of their community. The surveyed women reside in the Community of São João dos Melos and through a descriptive methodology the main vegetable crops as well as the source of seed and grown seedlings were raised. Starting this survey can be obtained cultivated species and the main origen these seeds and seedlings.
