A festa das sementes crioulas como subversão do agronegócio

Abstract

O artigo discute o sentido das Festas das Sementes Crioulas realizadas no sul do Brasil. O estudo se realizou em 4 festas: “Dia da Troca das Sementes Crioulas”; “Feira Regional de Sementes Crioulas e da Agrobiodiversidade”; “Festa Regional de Sementes” e a “Festa da Sementes Crioula”. Conclui-se que estas festas têm surgido como resistência à liberação de sementes geneticamente modificadas se utilizando do potencial teórico das festas e de representações em torno das sementes crioulas para a disputa dos modelos de agricultura e de visões de mundo. Constituem-se de espaços de consagração do valor das sementes crioulas e de luta simbólica, que se alimenta de processos formativos a exemplo da troca, da dramatização, da mística e das representações. Reforça-se as práticas de movimentos e de organizações sociais. Reúne pessoas para um movimento de ruptura com a proposta dominante. No entanto, persiste o desafio em alargar os limites do campo profissional de sementes.

The article discusses the meaning of the Creole seeds Parties held in southern Brazil. The study took place in four parties: "Day of the Exchange of Creole seeds"; "Regional Market of Creole seeds and Agrobiodiversity"; "Regional Seeds Party" and the "Creole seeds Party". It can be conclude that these celebrations have emerged as a resistance to the permission of genetically modified seeds using the theoretical potential of the parties and representations around the native seeds for the dispute of types of agriculture and worldviews. The celebrations constitute places about the consecration of the value of creole seeds and symbolic struggles, that feeds on educational processes based on exchanges, drama, mystique and representations. Reinforces motion practice and social organizations. It brings people together for a movement against the dominant proposition. However, the challenge remains in extend the boundaries of professional field of seeds.
