Itinerarios de la psicología: circulación de saberes y prácticas en la Argentina del siglo XX

Abstract

El niño, la pareja, la familia, el grupo, la escuela y los test mentales han sido tópicos de interés en las investigaciones psicológicas a lo largo del siglo XX. El libro propone un abordaje inédito, centrado en el problema de la circulación de saberes psi, técnicas, materiales y actores sociales diversos. Desde esta perspectiva, se ponen en evidencia los límites de la referencia a “lo nacional” para reconstruir los procesos complejos de producción, apropiación y transformación del conocimiento. Los autores analizan objetos de estudio heterogéneos e instituciones políticas, culturales y profesionales, múltiples saberes disciplinares (tanto sociales como naturales) y muestran, en esos recorridos, conexiones entre diferentes geografías. De ese modo, al reconsiderar las tramas de producción de conocimiento en diversos momentos y territorios, se problematizan dichas intersecciones. Este libro ofrece nuevas perspectivas en la historia de los saberes y disciplinas psi al tiempo que abre el diálogo con otras investigaciones cuyos resultados permiten repensar la actualidad.

The child, the couple, the family, the group, the school and the mental tests have been topics of interest in psychological research throughout the twentieth century. This book proposes an original approach, centered in the problem of the circulation of psychological knowledge, techniques, materials and diverse social actors. From this perspective, the limits of the reference to "the national" are revealed, in order to reconstruct the complex processes of production, appropriation and transformation of knowledge. The authors analyze heterogeneous objects of study and political, cultural and professional institutions, multiple disciplinary knowledge (both social and natural) and they show, in these routes, connections between different geographies. When the production of knowledge is been reconsidered, the instersections between different moments and territories, are problematized. This book offers new perspectives in the history of "psy" knowledge and disciplines while it opens the dialogue with other researchs, whose results allow us to rethink the present.
