La anorexia: una operación sobre el cuerpo

Abstract

El presente trabajo se propone abordar el estatuto del cuerpo en la anorexia a partir de dos coordenadas: la identificación, por un lado, y la pulsión por el otro, para mostrar a partir de viñetas clínicas de la propia práctica clínica en el contexto hospitalario cómo la operación anoréxica sobre el cuerpo es en sí misma una solución, cómo la delgadez obstinada y exhibida viene a responder a una experiencia de ruptura o crisis en el ajuste identificatorio-narcisista del sujeto. La anorexia es en sí misma un tratamiento subjetivo de ese desgarramiento, dato que nos explica por qué frecuentemente, aunque no en forma exclusiva, sea la pubertad el tiempo privilegiado en el que irrumpa la solución anoréxica.

The present work aims to address the body's status in anorexia based on two coordinates: identification on the one hand, and pulsion on the other. We will show from clinical vignettes of clinical practice in hospital context how the anorexic operation on the body is itself a solution, how the stubborn and exhibited thinness responds to an experience of rupture or crisis in the subject's identificatory-narcissistic adjustment. Anorexia is itself a subjective treatment of this tearing, which explains why frequently, but not exclusively, puberty is the privileged time in which the anorexic solution breaks out.
