Indagación sobre el uso de textos académicos

Abstract

Los objetivos son conocer si los estudiantes utilizan libros de texto, si frecuentan bibliotecas y si usan apuntes para estudiar. Sobre 109 estudiantes que cursan Fisiología II en la FOLP- UNLP se efectúa un estudio cuantitativo para lo cual se instrumenta una encuesta donde se pregunta si usan las bibliotecas de la UNLP y/o de la FOLP a través de sala de lectura o por préstamo domiciliario, si compran libros académicos ( básicos / clínicos), si los alquilan , si estudian de apuntes consignando su origen ; si los libros de Fisiología, sirven para la asignatura y si lo utilizan para otras disciplinas. La mayoría frecuenta las salas de lectura de ambas bibliotecas. Mientras que solo 2 estudiantes afirman comprar libros, cerca de la mitad dice comprar libros básicos, muy pocos alquilan y la mayoría estudia de apuntes explicitando su origen. Con respecto a la relación con el texto (si solo lo utilizan para lectura, si lo subrayan o si realizan notas marginales), en 29 casos responden que ejecutan ambas técnicas y en 28 casos incurren en contradicciones. Les resulta útil para estudiar Fisiología y algunos reconocen su utilidad en otras disciplinas.
